| What is Video Direct? |
Video Direct is a student workbook of hands-on training exercises that let students first assess film and television productions then try their own hands at video projects ranging from scary movie scenes to commercials to news reports. Included with the student workbook is a teacher’s manual and a CD containg a pdf version of the entire book and a web-site featuring video clips explaining terms and techniques with a follow-up quiz.
Each school hosting a workshop will also receive 4 copies of Video Direct. To see sample pages or order the book click here. |
| What won’t the workshop be? |
A boring lecture. No one likes a presentation that has powerpoint handouts that offer the exact script of the presenter who lectures for two hours! |
| What will the workshop be ? |
Interactive! Each session will be fun, relaxed with ample opportunity for customizing the presentation to fit the needs of the attendees. There will be time for modeling and hands-on attempts at the skills being taught in comfortable, small-group activities. |
